new york: day 2

For day two, I'd rather now focus on my clothing. Instead, I'd like to explain what a perfect day is.
A perfect day is morning coffee and reading at the Bean, browsing the Strand bookstore (and buying Rookie Yearbook Two), riding the subway, stopping at a little cafe and getting takeout, and picnicing in Central Park on an Outsidelands blanket while reading some more and using a wool cape as a blanket.

new york: day 1

(Vintage cape from Buffalo Exchange, scarf from H&M, skirt from Zara, random tights, Nine West socks, Topshop boots, shirt from Urban Outfitters)

I visited Tim in New York a couple weekends ago, and in just two days, the city already felt like home. I finally had an opportunity to sport this cape that I found in Washington. It's the warmest wool piece I own and I'd probably wear it everyday if I lived somewhere that actually had seasons.
Day One in the city was spent at a swap meet in Brooklyn, some shops in Soho, exploring Tim's dorm and the surrounding area, and your basic wandering.
