washington photo diary

Thursday, August 1st

Ahh, the good ole' plane ride. I worked on summer essays.

After my grandparents picked us up from the airport, we ate lunch at this fancy place called Stanford's.

My beautiful attic room with an incredibly comfy bed.

Friday, August 2nd

The local Stanwood bookstore. They recently got a cat!

The coolest local movie theater.

The biggest burrito I've ever seen.

Saturday, August 3rd

A yummy seafood restaurant in the city of Anacortes.

The HUGE arts fair occurring over the weekend.

I'm such a sucker for an old van. (I'm a hippie at heart)

Taken from Deception Pass on a very tall bridge that made my legs wobbly.

From the front yard of my grandparents' place.

A plentiful produce stand with delicious ice cream and an eager best friend.

Sunday, August 4th

This is a spicy pork pie from Man Pies, the hippest restaurant in Bellingham.

The Black Market Clothing Boutique, aka the best vintage shop I've ever been in.

Monday, August 5th

My favorite airport: SEATAC.

Washington is extremely wonderful. I have family north of Seattle, so we come up and visit once or twice a year. This time, my mom and I stayed with my grandparents who live on 10 acres in the small town of Stanwood. It's an adorable and beautiful place, and it was a wonderful trip filled with almost perfect weather.
